Prelim Task Evaluation

Prelim Task Evaluation

In our group for our prelim task we done a Britain’s Got Talent audition, we followed the basic theme of having an interview with someone however we added a slight comedy twist.
For our prelim task I believe our group done okay as we stuck to what we had wrote down in the planning and also we included a range of different camera shots including a close up, mid shot and an over the shoulder shot just to name a few.

In our prelim task we added a title page at the start of the short film, this gives it a professional hint and also shows who made and starred in it, providing extra information to the audience.

I think a good point about our prelim task is the editing as it all matches up for example specifically when we go in for the close up on the piano I believe it is matched up well as it was all filmed separately and then the timing for the singing on it comes together great.
Another good thing I believe we did was including wide range of camera shots although we did not include the 180 side shot. However the ones we did include I believe were steady handed and accurate to what we had suggested we would use, which was good.

However to improve next time we will include a 180 side shot where you could see both people in the conversation at the same time, this shows an added good use of camera skills to show off that we can do and it also looks good.
Also to improve I believe we should try and make the prelim task a bit shorter as we were advised to make it around 30 seconds to a minute and ours was 1 minute and 19 seconds which is a little too long however it isn’t a major problem.
